SAR Fundraiser for Ukraine War Refugees

On Saturday 26th March, Stroud Against Racism teamed up with Stroud Red Band to raise awareness of and funds to help refugees, including those of the war in Ukraine.

A total of £820.75 was raised, to be split between 2 charities, GARAS and Black Foreigners Ukraine.

GARAS- GARAS opens the door to support those seeking asylum in Gloucestershire, welcoming them when they arrive, advocating for them in their daily struggles, supporting them if they face being send back and helping them to adjust to their long term future if they are recognised as ‘refugees’.

So many, many thanks to all who donated and came along to support. These vital funds can now go to help people fleeing this appalling war.
